Getting around Seattle
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport sits about 14 miles south of downtown, 15 to 60 minutes by car depending on Interstate 5 traffic, per Bell Harbor's own planning guidance. Skip the traffic entirely with Link light rail: the 1 Line runs from the airport into downtown with trains roughly every 8 to 10 minutes at peak, and Westlake Station puts you a short walk from both convention center buildings.
Verdict: do not rent a car. The convention core is stacked within a few blocks, your hotel, both Seattle Convention Center buildings, and Pike Place Market are all walkable, and downtown parking is priced accordingly. The convention center campus has three garages if a colleague insists on driving; rideshare covers the hops to Museum of Pop Culture at Seattle Center and Bell Harbor on the waterfront.

Weather and winter freight, the honest read
Seattle's famous rain is a drizzle, not a downpour, and it changes nothing about your event: machines travel in road cases, the Arch dock is reached by an enclosed ramp off Hubbell Place, and everything we do here is indoors. October through May, plan for gray skies and damp sidewalks, not weather delays.
One winter note worth knowing: trucks reaching Seattle from the east cross Interstate 90 at Snoqualmie Pass, where the Washington State Department of Transportation posts real-time conditions and winter traction restrictions.
