The Traffic Builder, Perfected

Claw Machines for Trade Shows: Booth Traffic That Lines Itself Up

A branded claw machine turns your booth into the floor's destination: a visible line, qualified attendees earning plays, and your swag leaving in winners' hands. Built on the exact playbook that kept Intel's 40x40 packed while other booths sat empty. Written for exhibitors, trade show professionals, experiential agencies, and field marketing teams alike.

The Goals It Moves

What the Machine Does for Your Booth

Foot Traffic

The clear cabinet and LED lighting pull attention from across the aisle, and every public win recruits the next player. At 50 to 60 plays per hour the line is constant and visible, which is its own advertisement.

Qualified Leads

Gate plays behind what matters to you: a demo completed, a meeting booked, a badge or QR scan, or a form on the Pro 41XL's branded touch screen. Form and social interactions email you the results as a CSV.

Swag That Works

Guaranteed-win play means every player leaves with your product, and earning the play is what filters swag hunters from real prospects.

Standing Out In A Sea Of Sameness

A show floor is rows of near-identical booths fighting for the same eyes, and attendees can feel the sameness from the aisle. A branded claw machine breaks the pattern on sight: it says you are the cool company to work with before a single conversation starts, and the crowd around it proves the point to everyone who walks by.

Proof, Not Promises

How Intel Made the Claw Its Reward Engine

Attendees earned play cards by attending theater sessions, completing demos, and sitting through breakouts. Each card was one play, and per-session codes told the Intel team exactly which activations drove people back to the booth.

The same operation ran OpenAI's Event Claw Pro 41XL for 5 show days at Moscone Center with agency Invisible North, play gated through badge QR scans and the machine delivered 2 days ahead for the union load-in window.

We used the claw machine to drive traffic to, and throughout, our booth... When other booths were empty, we still had lines.

The Campaign Canvas

Bring the Brand Campaign to the Show Floor

The machine is not booth furniture; it is a canvas for the campaign you are already running. The wrap carries your campaign key art, the Pro 41XL's screen runs your campaign UI, and the prize load is the campaign, in attendees' hands.

It disappears into your booth, on purpose. You spent real money on that booth design, and the last thing it needs is a rental that clashes with it. You design the wrap yourself, from our templates, to match your booth exactly: same colors, same key art, same finish, so the machine reads as part of the build, not a cart wheeled in. And if you do not have design resources in house, our team helps with the design; that is part of what the pre-event process is for.

Product Launch Drop

Capsules carry the new product or samples; attendees grab the first units on the floor.

Hashtag Unlock

A social post with your campaign hashtag unlocks the play, putting the campaign in attendees' feeds (honor-system unlock, stated honestly).

Character Drop

Your campaign character or mascot as the plush everyone hunts.

Tiered Reveal

Capsule tiers mirror the campaign's offer ladder, from sample to grand prize.

The Named Machine

Clients christen their builds, and "The [Your Brand] Machine" becomes how attendees give directions across the floor.

Booth Fit

Will It Fit Your Booth? Yes, and Here Is the Math

Booth space is some of the most expensive real estate you will buy all year, and the machine earns its share: a 5 by 6 foot area drawing 50 to 60 plays per hour, all show hours, is the hardest-working 30 square feet in your booth.

Power and logistics are simple: one standard 110 to 120V outlet within 6 feet, ordered from show services. The 31L needs no internet and the Pro 41XL needs 2.5 Mbps. Dock-to-dock shipping is included with delivery timed to your load-in window, White Glove delivery to the booth is available, and setup happens the day prior or day of.

10x10 Inline Booth

The Event Claw 31L, 31 inches wide and able to roll through a standard commercial doorway, takes roughly a third of the booth with its 5 by 6 foot recommended area and becomes the entire draw.

10x20

Either machine plus demo space.

20x20 And Islands

The Pro 41XL as the anchor, with the touch screen doing lead capture.

40x40 Programs

The Intel model: the machine as the reward engine for the whole booth agenda.

Show-Floor Operations

Built for Convention Floors

Union venues and marshaling yards are handled: the OpenAI Moscone delivery ran inside agency Invisible North's program, and we work inside agency and exhibit-house programs regularly. A certificate of insurance goes to your show decorator on request, with coverage types and limits.

Machines are tested before doors open, staffing is optional at three levels from self setup to the Full Service Brand Ambassador program, and the machine runs all show hours at 50 to 60 plays per hour with automatic error recovery. Staffing is never required.

The Fleet

The Right Machine for Trade Shows.

Match the machine to your booth footprint and your lead-capture plan: the 31L fits any booth and draws the crowd, the Pro 41XL anchors larger spaces and captures every lead.

Straight Answers

Trade Shows Questions, Answered.

Lead Capture

How do you use a claw machine for lead capture at a trade show?

Gate every play behind the action you want: a badge or QR scan, an on-screen form on the Pro 41XL, a demo completed, or a meeting booked. Form and social interactions email you results as a CSV, and gated play is what turns a line into a pipeline.

Fit

Will a claw machine fit in a 10x10 booth?

Yes. The Event Claw 31L is 31 inches wide, rolls through a standard commercial doorway, and runs in a 5 by 6 foot area on one standard outlet with no internet needed. In a 10x10 inline booth it becomes the draw for the entire space.

Prizes

How do trade show attendees win prizes?

However you want. Most clients run guaranteed-win play so every player leaves with something, which maximizes swag distribution and keeps the celebration constant. Prize loads mix your branded items with top-shelf grabs in capsule play, engineered with you on the pre-event strategy call.

Delivery

Who delivers and sets up the machine at the show?

Dock-to-dock shipping to the venue loading dock is included, timed to your load-in window, with union venues handled. White Glove delivery to the booth with setup, teardown, and all labor is available, and a trained technician setup is a $1,497 upgrade. Staffing is never required.

Pricing

What does a trade show claw machine rental cost?

The Event Claw 31L starts at $6,497 plus shipping and the Pro 41XL with lead capture starts at $12,497 plus shipping, flat rates for 1 to 4 show days with unlimited plays, the custom wrap, planning, and shipping handling included. A typical 3-day booth runs about $10,500 all in.
